Catching musky madness

Oconomowoc – The boat nosed into a gentle breeze, paralleling the deep weed edge about 100 yards from shore and the scenic homes and boat houses on Oconomowoc Lake.

Sunshine and 55-degree temperatures helped deliver a Chamber of Commerce autumn Friday. Golden-hued maples and reddish oaks peppered the view.

We also looked funny going in, the launch at Whitethorn is less than perfect and certainly not suited to a full size bass bout. However, our first mishap had nothing to do with the launch; the boat froze to the trailer! When we put the boat in, it started to swing with the current and the trailer went with it. Some quick outboard work by Mark and a little jerk from the truck on my part and the boat was off! Read More
